The Alumni Association website celebrated its 10,000th visitor recently. "Good job, webmaster," he said, patting himself on the back.

One last chance to beat the Tax Credit drum again. Arizona taxpayers: remember Central when doing year-end tax planning; help Central and/or Central extra-curricular clubs financially at no cost to you Couples can give up to $300, and single filers up to $200 as a dollar-for-dollar credit against your taxes due when you file in the springThe Phoenix Union High School district has an excellent brochure explaining the program, view it by clicking here. The formal Arizona Department of Revenue literature on the subject can be viewed here (Adobe Reader required).  The deadline to participate in this program is December 31.

More money. Following on the heels of the Class of 1974, which last month gave the Alumni Association a tidy little sum, the Class of 1975 is upping the ante with a $2005. contribution to the school. Congratulations to Mary (Turkovich) Holden and the other '75ers who managed to pull that together. All eyes are now on the Class of 76, the magic class, the bicentennial class, widely acknowledged as the best class. Will Class of 76 Reunion organizers Ellen (Collins) Leonard, Julie McCormick and Scott Dunham and the rest of the 76ers be able to match the financial feat of the Class of 75 when their reunion rolls around next year? Curious minds want to know. The webmaster (by coincidence, a member of the Class of 76) will keep everyone informed.

It's party time!  Anne (Matlock) Ender reminds everyone of the 30th Anniversary Jerry Riopelle New Year's Eve concert at Celebrity Theatre. She seems pretty enthusiastic about the subject, and invites folks to get hold of her at 602-279-5297 and to visit Jerry Riopelle's website at www.jerryriopelle.com and visit the site message board to make plans to meet at the concert. (Uh...somebody call the Groupie Police). Only kidding, Anne. As a former bouncer er, security professional at the Celebrity, the webmaster hazily recalls the many excellent Riopelle concerts. Get out of the house and join Anne, I think she mentioned something about buying the first round. Which now means legitimate legal drinks served to you with respect instead of the Boone's Farm or peach schnapps you swigged in the parking lot and spilled on your cords and Wallabees and smuggled in to the show to impress your girlfriend the first time around all those years ago. You know who you are.
